(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On August 23, 2016, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Control Drug and Substance Act warrant at a residence on Highway 518 in Seguin Township. As a result of the search, a quantity of Cannabis Marihuana was seized.
Gerald SPOONER, 39 years of age from Seguin Township was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana) as per the CDSA.
The accused was held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound to answer to his charges.
Janis FRANCIS, 33 years of age from Seguin Township, was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana) as per the CDSA.
The accused was released and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on September 29, 2016 to answer to her charges.
