Several Drunk Drivers Caught

(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Saturday, December 13, 2014 at approximately 2:42 am, an officer with the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Frederica Street in the City of Thunder Bay.

Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected an odour of alcohol emitting from the drivers breath. Subsequently the driver was found to be over the legal limit.

James AGGAMAWAY, 33 years of age, from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code.

He is to appear in Provincial Court on February 17, 2015 to answer to the charge.

Also on December 13 at approximately 3:24 am, officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 61, south of 15th Sideroad. Upon arriving at the scene officers observed a vehicle in the north bound ditch. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.

Upon speaking with the driver, officers detected an odour of alcohol emitting from the driver’s breath and the driver exhibited obvious signs of impairment.

James ADDUONO, 18 years of age, from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code.

He is to appear in court on January 13, 2015 to answer to the charges.
