(McDOUGALL TWP, ON) – Members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. checkpoint on January 13, 2014 at the intersection of Lorimer Lake Road and The Bunny Trail in McDougall Township. At approximately 4:24 p.m., a stop of a pick-up truck led to several charges.
Robin Osborne, 58 years of age from McDougall Twp, was charged with the following:
– Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
– Drive Motor Vehicle No Currently Validated Permit, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
– Drive Motor Vehicle Not Equipped with an Approved Ignition Interlock, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will attend the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on February 6, 2014 to answer to his charges.
