(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) As of 4:15 p.m., on July 31st, 2013, Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have a section of Hwy #26 between Sunnidale Corners and Klondike Park Road closed to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Hwy #26.
An initial OPP investigation thus far has revealed that 2 motor vehicles collided, head on injuring 3 occupants sending at least one to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in serious condition.
This MVC that was reported to Police at approximately 3:40 p.m., and had Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedic Service attending.
The investigation into this MVC is continuing with the assistance of our Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
The above section of Hwy #26 will remain closed until further notice.
