(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON)- On July 25, 2016 at approximately 5:10 p.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Mandaumin Road north of London Line, Plympton- Wyoming to investigate a head-on motor vehicle collision.
A Pontiac Sunfire and a Dodge Caravan were both travelling in opposing directions on Mandaumin Road. As a result of the investigation, it is alleged that the driver of the Pontiac Sunfire left his lane and entered into the opposing lane and had a head-on collision with the Dodge Caravan. Both vehicles suffered extensive front-end damage.
Members of the OPP and the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigative Team (TTCI) continue to investigate. Both drivers have suffered non- life threatening injuries. However, the driver of the Pontiac Sunfire had suffered severe injury and was transported to hospital. Mandaumin Road between the 402 Highway and London Line was closed for a short period of time in order to facilitate the investigation.
Pending the results of the investigation, charges are expected.
