(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday October 22, 2013 shortly before 4:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to an injury collision involving a pickup truck striking a tree along Road 165 just north of Perth Line 88 (west of Gowanstown).
Investigation revealed that a green Ford pickup truck had been travelling north bound on Road 165 north of Perth Line 88 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The pickup truck entered the west ditch striking a large tree with the front driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver, a 22 year male from Clifford as well as a 21 year old male passenger from Palmerston and a 24 year old female passenger from Minto Twp., were all transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital. The two passengers were treated and released while the driver was stabilized and subsequently transported to London Health Sciences with major but non-life threatening injuries.
Road 165 between Perth Line 88 and Line 89 remained closed until 9 p.m. to allow for a safe investigation of the collision.
The Perth County OPP is continuing their investigation into this crash.
