(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On May 25, 2019, at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators, London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Ornge Air Ambulance and Southwest Middlesex Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision on Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
Two vehicles travelling in opposite directions on Longwoods Road became involved in a head-on collision. The investigation has revealed that the vehicle driven by the deceased crossed the line for unknown reasons and collided with an oncoming vehicle. As a result of the collision, a 48-year-old male and 26-year-old female who were in the same vehicle have died. Four individuals were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious. One individual has been released, three others remain in hospital; however the injuries have been downgraded to minor.
