(ST.MARYS, ON) On Thursday August 14, 2014, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to the Westover Inn on Thomas St. in St.Marys, where a break-in to the Westover Inn Chapel was discovered.
Investigation revealed that sometime between Tuesday August 12th and Thursday morning August 14th, unknown person(s) forced open the front door of the chapel which is located on the south west edge of the Westover Inn property. Once inside, the culprit(s) smashed the large marble altar onto the ground and window ledges were broken. Electrical boxes and poles on the outside of the chapel were also damaged.
