(Maxville, ON) – On March 6, 2015, the Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers (SVCS) program held its 1st Annual “Emergency Service Hockey Tournament” in Maxville, Ontario. A total of eight (8) teams participated in the event including; two teams from SD&G OPP, Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS), Cornwall Fire Department (CFD), North Glengarry Fire Department (NGFD), South Stormont Fire Department (SSFD), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service (AMPS).
CCPS skated away with the A” Championship and the SD&G OPP2 skated away as the “B” side champs. The day was filled with a lot of laughs and some great hockey. The Scotia Bank –Maxville branch matched all funds raised. Representatives were on hand to assist with the day.
The event raised at total of $10
