(PETERBOROUGH, ON) – Today, as a result of an ongoing investigation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Drug Enforcement Unit – Central, who were assisted by the Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed search warrants at 3 residences in City of Peterborough.
The first warrant was executed at a Swanston Street residence where cocaine was located.
The second warrant was executed at a Baker Street residence located in Peterborough. Located during the execution of this warrant was cocaine, 37 fentanyl patches and a semi-automatic pistol along with ammunition.
A third location was attended on Water Street, but nothing was located.
As a result of these search warrants, approximately $85,000 worth of drugs has been seized.
The following Peterborough residents are now facing criminal charges:
Travis POGUE, 24 years of age:
– Possession of prohibited firearm
– Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 Counts)
Cody COLTER, 25 years of age:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
– Breach of Undertaking
Both POGUE and COLTER will remain in custody pending a Bail Hearing.
Twenty-one year old Megan MCLENNAN is facing charges of:
– Possession of Prohibited Firearm
– Possession for the Purpose Trafficking
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Peterborough on May 1, 2014.
