SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On Friday November 1, 2013 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the West Parry Sound OPP executed a search warrant to a residence on Lorimer Lake Road in McDougall Township.

As a result of the search warrant, 2.5 pounds of marijuana was located and seized, a potential street value of $22,700.

Charged are the following

Noah Krieger, 27 years of age of McDougall Twp:

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana over 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of trafficking under 3kg, contrary to the CDSA

Kaitlyn Brown, 23 years of age of McDougall Twp:

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana over 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of trafficking under 3kg, contrary to the CDSA

Brandon Deacon, 21 years of age of McDougall Twp:

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana over 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of trafficking under 3kg, contrary to the CDSA

– Fail to comply with probation order – 4 counts, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

These persons were released on a Promise to Appear and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on December 19, 2013 to answer to their charges.
