(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) On March 14, 2014 at approximately 9:57 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) along with members of the London Drug Enforcement Section (DES) and uniform officers attended an apartment and executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Main Street South, Mount Forest.
During the investigation police located and seized12 grams of methamphetamine worth approximately $1200, seven grams of marihuana worth approximately $70,
14 Hydromorphone pills worth approximately $140, seven morphine pills worth approximately $200, 16 Tylenol three pills worth approximately $60, $270.00 in cash, items related to drug trafficking, one prohibited weapon (butterfly knife), two replica handguns and a machete.
Bennie WATTERS age 50 of Mount Forest has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Codeine for the Purpose of Trafficking, all contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held for a bail hearing on March 15, 2014.
