In the early morning hours of January 29, 2014, Waterloo Regional Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Victoria Street South in Kitchener. Police seized cocaine with an estimated street value of $9500, $5400 in currency, and a prohibited weapon. A 26 year old female and a 27 year old male, both of Kitchener, were held in custody on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Unauthorized Possession of a weapon. Both were held for a showcause hearing.
