Search Party Locates Missing 3 Year Old

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 12:11 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a missing child call near Seguin Trail in Seguin Township.

Investigation revealed that a group of people had boated to a point of land from a cottage and after exiting the boat the adults lost sight of a three year old. The Northeast Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and a Northeast Region Canine Unit were called to assist. Local OPP and area residents initiated a search of the area and a local resident on a 4-wheeler found the child sitting and crying on Seguin Trail. The child was returned to his parents.
