(CAMPBELLFORD, ON) –On September 6, 2015 at 5:41pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a request for assistance from the Trent Hills Fire Department who were initiating a search for a missing swimmer.
A Toronto area man, who was vacationing in the area, had gone for a swim north of Lock 14 on the Trent-Severn Waterway (Trent River) and failed to return.
Search efforts continue by the Trent Hills Fire Department and OPP Marine units.
Vessels approaching the area are being escorted through the search zone by clearly marked Fire Department boats.
