(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) continue their search for George HANDZIK. The OPP helicopter will be assisting in the search today, Thursday, August 22, 2013.
Mr. HANDZIK, 84, of Napoleon Street, Eugenia, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20th, riding his bicycle east bound on Concession 8 towards the causeway in Eugenia. He was reported missing on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 7:28 p.m.
Mr. HANDZIK, suffers from dementia, but is otherwise in good physical condition. His description is as follows:
Caucasian, 5’8â€Â, 160 – 180 pounds
Short white hair (brushed back)
Prescription glasses (large silver frames)
Fair skin – reddish complexion
Wearing a blue jacket with white stripes (on sleeves), a beige shirt, dark coloured pants, and Velcro (grey) runners
Shuffles when he walks
The mountain bike he was riding is described as being red and black in colour, with front suspensions.
