(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male with drug related offences as a result of a vehicle stop in The Blue Mountains.
On the 20th of October 2015 shortly before 7:00pm an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop on Elgin Street and King Street for a Highway Traffic Act offence. Upon speaking to the driver it was found that he was in possession of marihuana which led to police arresting the male driver and seizing approximately 240 grams of marihuana, a small amount of ecstasy, assorted paraphernalia and over $500 in Canadian currency.
Charged is 21 year-old Sean SMITH of Collingwood, he is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methylenedioxyamphetamine (Ecstasy) and speeding under the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 26th of November 2015.
