SD&G OPP Remind People to Respect the Local ATV Trails

(North Dundas) – On 10th of June 2016 the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police (SD&G OPP) responded to complaints of trespassing and illegal dumping of garbage on the Nation Valley All-Terrain Vehicle Club (NVATVC) trails in North Dundas Township on Boyne Road. The NVATVC recently did a clean-up of the area and removed 4 dump-trailer loads of garbage over to the Boyne Road Landfill. SD&G OPP officers have followed up with information regarding the illegal dumping on the Township property. The SD&G OPP would like to remind residents that illegal dumping can result in mischief charges under the Criminal Code of Canada, and trespassing charges (Trespass to Property Act). Boyne Road Landfill is open Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm for all of your dumping needs.

ANYONE HAVING INFORMATION ON THE ABOVE OR ANY CRIME IS ASKED TO CALL SD&G OPP AT 1-888-310-1122 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 1-800-222-8477.”
