(Barrie, ON) – The Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a male driver with Care and Control While Impaired by Alcohol after a collision in Oro-Medonte.
On September 12, 2016 at approximately 9:51 a.m., Barrie OPP officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Horseshoe Valley Road near Line 12. Officers arrived at scene and located a vehicle that had struck another vehicle before fleeing and striking the guardrail. The male driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital where he was arrested for refusing a breath demand.
Scott MURPHY, 39 years old of Oro-Medonte, has been charged with Care and Control while Impaired and Refuse to Provide Sample. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Barrie Criminal Court on September 26, 2016.
