Scott MCLAUGHLIN – Drunk Driving

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Friday November 25, 2016 members of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) lane on Highway # 60 in the Town of Huntsville.

At around 11:49PM an eastbound vehicle entered the RIDE lane, it was determined that the driver had been drinking. The driver registered a Fail on the roadside screening device, subsequently arrested and transported to Huntsville detachment for further tests.

Scott MCLAUGHLIN (50yrs) of Hamilton was eventually charged with Operating a motor vehicle and driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused received an immediate 90 Drivers licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He will appear in the Ontario court of Justice in Huntsville on December 21, 2016 to answer to the charge.
