(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Members of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Red Deer, Alberta man with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 Mgs.
On May 6, 2018 at approximately 7:36 pm, an officer from the Atikokan OPP Detachment was conducting patrol on Highway 622 when he observed a vehicle being driven erratically. A traffic stop was initiated by the officer. He determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further tests.
Scott JORDAN, 25 years of age, of Red Deer, Alberta was subsequently arrested and charged with:
Driving while Ability Impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code,
Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Atikokan on June 6, 2018 in answer to the charges.
