(Oro-Medonte, ON) – Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a minor motor vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a school bus on Tuesday December 15th, 2015 at 8:11 am on Simcoe County Road 11 (Old Barrie Road) in Oro-Medonte Twp. There were no students on the bus at the time of collision.
The driver of a dump truck was southbound on Line 7 N and proceeded to cross Old Barrie Rd. The school bus was travelling east on Old Barrie Road swerved to avoid collision but rolled into the ditch.
The Driver of the dump truck is charged with Fail to Yield to traffic on through highway, under the Highway Traffic Act.
