(COLBORNE, ON) –On February 13, 2017 at 7:38am the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised by Canadian Pacific (CP) that a train had struck a school bus at Townline Road between County Road 31and County Road 2 in Cramahe Township.
Officers at the scene have determined that the bus was attempting to cross the railway tracks and became stuck. The driver, another adult and one student evacuated the bus prior to the collision. Previous road closures due to the incident have been rescinded.
Officials from CP are on scene and the collision remains under investigation.
