(ST.MARYS, ON) – On Saturday September 12, 2015, around 4 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer while speaking with a motorist at a gas station along James St. South in St.Marys, determined that the female driver had been drinking alcoholic beverages.
The officer administered a roadside breath test which the driver failed. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where she also failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
50-year-old Sandra BOKKERS of the Township of Perth South has been charged with “care or control over 80 mgs”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on October 19 2015, where she will have to answer to the charge.
Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and her motor vehicle has been impounded for a period of seven days.
