(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a Kitchener man facing numerous charges.
On January 11, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 35 near Tower Road. Further investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving.
As a result of the investigation Samer KHALIL, 20 years of age, was charged with the Highway Traffic Act offences of speeding and driving while suspended as well as with failing to produce proof of insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on February 10, 2015.
