Samantha HOLDEN – Drug Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On January 6, 2017, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint regarding a motor vehicle travelling erratically westbound on Hamilton Road.

Officers located the brown Pontiac car in a parking lot on Hamilton Road. The 22-year-old female driver was placed under arrest for impaired care or control of a motor vehicle by drug, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for testing.

As a result of the police investigation, Samantha HOLDEN, from Southwest Oxford, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (drug) contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, and possession of a schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on February 3, 2017.
