Sam SEIRAFIANPOUR – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at approximately 8:44 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned motorist who observed a black BMW vehicle being driven erratically on Hwy. 10 in the Township of Southgate.

The suspect vehicle was said to be swerving all over the road, through both lanes of traffic, nearly forcing the complainant into on-coming traffic. The driver was also observed throwing, what appeared to be a beer can out the window.

Grey County OPP stopped the suspect vehicle on Hwy. 10 near Grey Rd. 9 and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. After failing a roadside breath test the driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Markdale OPP Detachment for further breath tests which he failed.

28-year old, Sam SEIRAFIANPOUR of North York, Ontario was charged with driving a motor vehicle having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system. His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 27, 2015.

There were three passengers, ages 22, 23 and 25 inside the vehicle.
