Salesperson Tries To Force Way Into Home

(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a Millbrook address yesterday just before 3:00pm. The homeowner reported that a representative from Summit Energy tried to force their way in her door.

Police remind area residents that they may refuse anyone entry to their home if they are not comfortable. If the person refuses to leave or becomes aggressive; then police should be contacted. Failing to leave when directed to do so, is a chargeable offence under the Trespass to Property Act.
