Ryan Watson – Drive While Suspended

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A late night traffic stop on August 1, 2014 resulted in an arrest and two charges against a 29 year old male driver from Wallaceburg. At 11:19 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped the driver of a Chrysler Sebring on Victoria Street in Clinton.

The driver was unable to provide a driver’s licence and upon checking the driver’s licence status it was learned he held a suspended licence. Upon speaking with the driver the officer detected the odour of marihuana coming from inside the vehicle compartment. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver to be in possession of marihuana.

As a result, 29 year old Ryan Watson from Wallaceburg has been charged with Drive While Under Suspension and Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana. He will have to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich to answer to the charges.
