Just before 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol observed a man operating an e-bike on Richmond Street in Chatham. The officer recognized the man by the helmet he was wearing from a previous incident with police. Through investigation, the officer learned that the man was currently bound by a probation order with conditions not to possess or operate any motorized vehicle. The officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested the man before his reached his destination, the Probation Office.
Ryan PRIEBE, 23 years, of Chatham was charged with breach of probation. He was released pending a future court date and his e-bike was towed from the scene.
