Ryan HESS – Hit and Run, Drunk Driving, No Insurance, etc

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant detachment has charged a 29 year old male with numerous charges after responding to a fail to remain collision and fleeing suspect investigation at a First Line Road, County of Brant, ON address.

On Tuesday January 27th, 2015 at approximately 8:50 pm Police responded to a Fail to Remain collision with minor damage at a First Line near Mohawk Road address. The suspect vehicle described as a black Chev pickup truck was being followed by the other involved driver. Police located the suspect vehicle on Burtch Road and attempted to stop it by activating the cruisers emergency lighting. The suspect vehicle then fled the area at a high rate of speed with the Police following. The suspect vehicle was followed south on the Cockshutt Road and then turned onto Indian Line where it eventually came to a stop. The driver of the vehicle was identified and while the officer was speaking with the driver signs of impairment by alcohol was detected which resulted in his arrest.

Charged with Impaired Driving of a Motor Vehicle, Driving a Motor Vehicle with over the legal limit of the alcohol, Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer, Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident, Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance, and Drive Motor Vehicle with no validation on plate is 29 year old Ryan HESS of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory First Nation. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Brantford, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
