(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – The OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (South Porcupine) has laid drug related charges against two persons.
Based on an on-going investigation, arrests were made yesterday afternoon resulting in the seizure of approximately 212 grams of cocaine with a street value of $21,000, along with a quantity of marijuana and oxycontin as well as other drug paraphernalia.
Ryan BEAUDOIN, 21, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
– one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
– two counts of Fail To Comply with Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
David LACASSE, 23, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
– three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
Each accused person has been held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing scheduled for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.
