Russell County Weekly Release

(RUSSELL COUNTY, ON) In the week of May 4, 2015 to May 11, 2015, Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 269 occurrences. Among those occurrences OPP responded to 10 collisions, 4 thefts, 6 domestics and 1 impaired driver.

As a result of those occurrences, 47 people were charged with various offences.

Assault

(Casselman, ON) On May 6, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident on Chemin Du Theatre in Casselman. At that location 3 adults were involved in an argument. At one point a female assaulted the other two adults. The OPP investigated the matter and concluded that some offences had been committed.

A 57 year old female, from Ottawa will have to appear in l’Orignal court on June 3, 2015 to answer to the following charges:

CC 266 Assault – Spousal

CC 266 Assault

CC 430(4) Mischief Under $ 5,000

Harassment

(Rockland, ON) On May 6, 2015 OPP Constables responded to neighbour dispute on Laurier Street in Rockland. At that location a female reported being harassed by a neighbour. She reported that it was an ongoing problem. The OPP investigated the complaint and concluded that some offences had been committed.

Kenneth DEROUIN, 54 years old from Rockland will have to appear in L’Orignal court on June 10, 2015 to answer to the following charges:

CC 264(2)(b) Criminal Harassment – repeatedly communicate

CC 264.1(1)(a) Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

Impaired

(Rockland, ON) On May 6, 2015 OPP Constables responded to traffic complaint on Laurier Street in Rockland. At that location a witness saw male that showed signs of impairment get into his vehicle and drive away. The vehicle and driver were located on Cercle Lemay Street. The officers noticed a smell of alcohol on driver. He provided a breath sample into the Roadside Screening Device and the result was an “f” for Fail. The driver was transported to the OPP detachment were he provided more breath samples into the intoxylizer. The result exceeded the legal limit permitted.

Lionel BEDARD, 71 years old from Rockland, will have to appear in L’Orignal court on May 27, 2015 to answer to the following charges:

CC 253(1)(b) Care or Control Over 80 mgs.

CC 253(1)(a) Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol)

Domestic

(Casselman, ON) On May 8, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident on Principale Street in Casselman. At that location a female reported being harassed by her partner. The OPP investigated the complaint and conclude that the male had committed some offences

A 32 year old male, from Casselman will be appearing for his show cause hearing in L’Orignal court today, to answer to the following charges:

CC 264(2)(b) Criminal Harassment – repeatedly communicate

CC 430(4) Mischief – Domestic X3

Assault

(Casselman, ON) On May 9, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident on St-Isidore Road West in Casselman. At that location a male and female were involved in an argument when the male assaulted the female.

A 52 year old male, from Casselman will have to appear in L’Orignal court on May 27, 2015 to answer to the following charge:

CC 266 Assault – Spousal

Threats

(Rockland, ON) On May 9, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a threat incident on Robert Street in Rockland. At that location a female reported being threatened by a young female acquaintance of hers. The officers investigated the incident and concluded that the young female had committed an offence.

A 15 year old female, from Alfred-Plantagenet will have to appear in L’Orignal youth court to answer to the following charge:

CC 264.1(1)(a) Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

Speeding

(Rockland, ON) On May 9, 2015 OPP Constable Steve Roy was operating radar on County Road 17 in Clarence-Rockland. At about 11:05 Am the officer clocked a yellow Pontiac G5 going 139 KM/H in a 90 KM/Hour Zone. On that same day at about 15:12 PM, at the same location the officer clocked the same vehicle going at 122km/H in the 90 Km/h zone.

Julie RAINVILLE, 23 years old , form Ottawa was issued 2 provincial offence notices for the following offences:

HTA 128 Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted limit X2
