(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to attend a private parking lot on Grand River Street North in Paris in the County of Brant in response to a possible impaired driver after an off duty OPP officer called in at approximately 11:45 a.m. on 19 January 2017.
OPP officers attended the area and located the vehicle which was stopped in a private parking lot at 300 Grand River Street north in Paris in the County of Brant. During the investigation officers determined that the driver of the 1995 Ford Ranger pick-up truck was impaired by alcohol.
Police have charged 60-year-old Russel GREENWOOD of the County of Brant with Driving with More than 80 mgs, of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Section 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada:
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
