(CHAPLEAU, ON) – On Sunday September 27, 2015, at approximately 8:35 p.m. officers from the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had occasion to stop a black SUV in the Gallagher Township for disobeying a stop sign.
During the investigation officers located and seized within the motor vehicle 92 Methamphetamine pills, 12 morphine pills and traces amount of Marihuana.
As a result Megan GODFREY (27) and Tabatha BESNIER (30) both of Timmins Ontario were charged with the following offences;
– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking x 2 contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000- in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CCC.
The accused were released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chapleau on November 18, 2015.
