(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On March 30, 2016 at 1:52 p.m., an officer from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign on Talbot Street in Tay Township, ON.
While conducting their investigation, police found two of the occupants to be in possession of illegal drugs. A large quantity of suspected marihuana was located in the motor vehicle.
The male driver, Tyler Elijah Quinn BURKE (age 25) of Tiny Township, ON is charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis – Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act
Disobey stop sign contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Also charged is Nicholas Darryl HUBLEY (age 22) of Oshawa ON with:
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis – Marihuana – over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis – Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The accused parties are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 28, 2016 in Midland, ON.
