(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 8, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 1996 GMC pickup truck that left the roadway and entered the ditch on Wellington Road 14 near 12th Line, Wellington North Township.
The officer spoke with the male driver and observed signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Ross Woods age 53 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Impaired Driving and Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 6, 2015 to answer to the charges.
