(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a vehicle at 145km/h in the 80km/h zone on Highway 7 near David Fife Line Friday evening shortly after 8:30pm.
Rory Thomas MCCARTHY (age 19) of Keswick, ON was charged with stunt driving in relation to excessive speed. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his 2001 Pontiac Sunfire was impounded.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, Ontario on November 14, 2016.
