Ronald PLUNKETT – Drunk Driving

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 55 year old male from Central Huron with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on October 12, 2013 a Huron County OPP officer observed a red Chevrolet pickup travelling on Main Street in Holmesville. The officer noticed the driver was not wearing his seatbelt and initiated a traffic stop.

Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed which the driver failed. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.

Ronald PLUNKETT, 55, from Central Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Driver – Fail to Wear a Seat Belt. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 18, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
