(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Thursday December 3, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check on Highway 12 in Tay Township.
A male driver approached the RIDE check in a silver Buick. After speaking with the male an officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Ronald Arthur HUTTON (age 61) of Georgian Bay Township has been charged with:
Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code
Driving while ability impaired contrary to the criminal Code
Drive while disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code
Four counts of Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland Ontario on December 17, 2015.
