(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist last night in regards to drinking and driving in Collingwood.
On the 15th of July 2015 shortly before midnight, an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop on First Street in Collingwood where interactions with the driver found that he was under the influence of alcohol. The male driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading and led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 36 year-old Roger SAVAGE of Valley East (Ontario), he is facing a charge of driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and is to appear in Collingwood court on the 6th of August 2015.
