(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver being charged with two offences.
On January 1, 2014 an OPP officer conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 35 near Pontypool Road as investigation had indicated that the driver was suspended from driving. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was not insured.
As a result, Robert WEYRICH, 51 years of age, of Woodville, was charged with driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and with operating a motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on February 11, 2014.
