Robert Stanley MORRISON – Drunk Driving

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult male driver with impaired driving offences on January 10, 2017 at 3:30 pm.

Members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police, (OPP) were notified of a traffic complainant in the east end of Fort Frances. Officers located the driver on the 800 Block of Minnie Avenue in Fort Frances, subsequently; Robert Stanley MORRISON, (61) of Lake of the Woods Township, On was arrested at the scene and transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests.

Subsequently the driver was charged with,

-Having Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

-Driving while Ability was Impaired

The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and he was issued a mandatory 90 day drivers licence suspension. He is scheduled to appear in Fort Frances Court on February 21, 2017.

The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others.
