(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 20, 2015, just after 10:00 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop on a GMC pickup on Queen Street in Chatham.
Subsequent OPP investigation revealed that the male driver was prohibited from driving.
As a result, the driver, 46 year old Robert LAYES, from Blenheim, has been charged with Driving While Disqualified, under the Criminal Code of Canada, and the vehicle impounded for 45 days. He will appear in a Chatham court on February 6, 2015, to answer to the charge.
