(Bancroft, ON) – On November 18, 2016, in the early morning, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a disturb the peace call in the Town of Bancroft where a male refused to leave a local business.
As officers attended, the accused was attempting to leave the business, he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and following his arrest he assaulted an officer.
As a result of the investigation, Robert DEADY, 43 years of Bancroft Ontario was charged with:
Assault a Peace Officer – Criminal Code
Being Intoxicated in Public Place – Liquor Licence Act
The accused was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 20, 2016 in Bancroft Ontario.
