(WAWA, ON) – On Saturday October 3, 2015 at approximately 1:05 pm officers from the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Theft of gas from a local business. A description of the suspect auto and driver were provided to all Superior East OPP members. The motor vehicle was located travelling Northbound on Highway 17 and was subsequently stopped just South of White River Ontario.
Investigation led to the arrest of Robert BEATTEAY (46) of London Ontario.
The accused stands charged with the following offence,
– Adult Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The male was held for a Bail Hearing in Sault Ste Marie Ontario on Monday October 5, 2015.
