(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a bank robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.
On Wednesday August 6, 2014, at approximately 5:10 pm, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated at the Elmvale Shopping Centre. The suspect seated himself in the branch for a short time before approaching a bank representative. He then produced a note indicating it was a robbery and demanded money. The suspect insinuated he was armed but no weapon was seen. The suspect fled the premises empty-handed. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a black male, approx. 5-10 (178 cm) tall
