Robbery Suspect Description Released

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery that took place at approximately 1030pm on Saturday August 22, 2015. The male victim was walking alone on Pembroke Street West near Christie Street in Pembroke when he was approached from behind by the lone male suspect. The suspect asked the victim if he had any money and then proceeded to assault the victim leaving the victim with minor injuries. The suspect took a quantity of cash from the victim’s wallet and discarded the wallet at the scene. The suspect fled on foot eastbound towards the downtown core of Pembroke. The suspect is described as:

· White male in his 20’s

· 5ft 10in. to 6ft tall

· Thin build, short hair

· Wearing a black flat-brimmed hat, black hoodie and dark camouflage pants

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this event, including motorists who may have been passing by on Pembroke Street West at the time.
