Road Rage Ends With Charges

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 32-year-old male with assault and mischief following a “road rage” incident at a Braemar Avenue, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Saturday October 29, 2016 at approximately 8:25 a.m., OPP responded to Braemar Avenue for a complaint where it was reported a male was assaulted and his vehicle was damaged.

OPP investigation determined that two vehicles were travelling south bound on Argyle Street North when the driver’s became involved in an argument over each other’s driving behaviour. The two vehicles then pulled into a parking lot on Argyle Street North and the male drivers exited their vehicles. During this interaction, one of the males was assaulted by the other. The drivers continued to proceed south bound on Argyle Street and met once again on Braemar Avenue where one of the males threw an object at the other vehicle causing damage.

OPP has charged 32-year-old Eric VACSI of Hamilton, Ontario with:

Assault

Mschief under $5,000

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
