(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a dispute on May 7, 2016 at approximately 7:35pm in Fenelon Falls. The incident started over a driving complaint but escalated. After an investigation the following persons have been arrested and charged.
Triston EASON, 18 years of age, of Coboconk is charged with Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
James BROOKS, 19 years of age, of Bobcaygeon is charged with Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the CCC
Austin DUPUIS, 19 years of age, of Kirkfield is charged with Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the CCC and Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The accused parties are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 16, 2016.
